He quickly rose to fame throughout Latin America, and expanded internationally in 1997, when the company headquartered in New York City. In 1999, Sanchez debuted his bridal collection in the United States and presented his evening collection during New York Fashion Week at Bryant Park.

Along with other designers from the previous generation, like Oscar de la Renta and Carolina Herrera, Sanchez represents the particular perspective of the international Latin-American style. After acquiring his architectural degree from Simon Bolivar University in 1984, Angel Sanchez began his fashion design career in Caracas, Venezuela in 1987. He quickly became known nationally as a prestigious designer.
