Vera Wang 2014 Fall Bridal Collection
AdvertisementsFor this season’s Fall 2014 gowns, Wang sent an entirely pink show down the runway. In a bold move that had everyone talking, it certainly made us take a look at the dresses in a new way. You can see layers, accents and embellishments a little better when you’re looking at color rather than just pure white, and for that we appreciated this collection even more.

Vera Wang Spring Collection 2013- The K Bride
Advertisements Bridal dresses in the fashion industry have been associated with different tones of white, ivory and cream. These colors are delicate and angelic, making them a perfect fit for you if you’re going to be the center of attention. However, most brides who’re looking for something deviant and with a splash of color may be decide to go for something else other than white. That is where Vera Wang’s spring collection steps in. Each design has been individually crafted for women with unique body shapes and alternative styles.
The gowns have been given a female name with the letter K, to retain the feminine touch of each dress.
Here are the top 5 bridal dresses from Vera Vang S’2013 collection
Katharine Gown
Strapless, with a rich orangish red shade, the Katharine gown has a daring and multifarious quality to it. The base is crafted beautifully from chiffon to attach a solid element and the repeated layers are made from net. They add volume without burdening your figure.
The upper half of the gown reveals the arms and shoulders, and is strapless, covering the chest delicately. The lower half is a multitude of heavenly and brightly colored layers that are heavier towards the top. Pair the gown with matching accessories like Longchamp bags and other handbags.
Kendal Gown
Strapless and a bit of the luxurious maroon colored side; this gown makes use of net with embroidery on it. The body of the gown is glamorous and made from organza silk with heavy pleats visible.
The flare of the dress has minor layers of plain net and chiffon, but more of the embroidered print. This gown is heavier and for a glamorous bride. The volume of this gown is appealing and would look flattering on any body shape. Again strapless, the gown reveals just the right amount of collar bones.
Katarina Gown
Strapless, with a body shaped like a fitted corset, Katarina gown will accentuate your figure. The gown has abstract layers of repeated red silk, hidden somewhere near the feet. In other places, chiffon frills are abundantly scattered and laced with red ribbon.
Floor length and poofed up in a dreamy manner, the blood red gown is for a bride who isn’t afraid to shine. It has the potential to make you a sight to swoon over while walking down the aisle.
Kassia Gown
This gown has two evident tones visible, with the upper half more bold orange and the lower half a bit red mixed with orange. Sleeveless, with a high neck, chiffon add volume to the bust. Your shoulders and arms will be delicately visible so it won’t be a bad idea to wear accessories with this gown.
The gown is fitted around the waist with orange silk and pleats. A rust and bronze tinted brooch is attached to the gown too and looks quite fancy. The gown follows the same pattern towards the knees and then flares up a bit to reveal shredded silk and chiffon in red color.
Karen Gown
Quite a sight, this gown is dull and darker when compared to the rest of the collection. It is dark maroon and almost has a black finish to it. The gown is strapless, and has a slight opening down the middle to reveal a hint of cleavage.
The look is more extravagant because of the diamantes running down the upper chest area. It ends below the chest area and then spreads out to reveal endless layers of chiffon, one over the other. The gown has excessive volume and adds that much allure to your bride persona.

Vera Wang Spring 2014 Bridal Collection
AdvertisementsVera Wang has been known to push the envelope with her bridal collections (remember last spring’s all-red lineup?), and for spring 2014 she didn’t disappoint. She opened her show with two minimalist looks — ivory silk crepe mermaid gowns, one V-neck, the other strapless — but then quickly veered into more edgy territory with a black-and-white palette.
