1. What is your favorite bridal trend for 2016?
I love how wedding dresses have evolved through the years and now they become more relaxed and casual.and relaxed bridal gowns. As much as I would love to shower a wedding gown with floral appliques and lace, I also find myself in love with this generation’s penchant for simple and relaxed bridal dresses. No corsets, no layers of tulle or any of that fuss. It’s the sheer beauty, romance and purity of it all that I find fascinating.
2. What is your favorite piece from you collection that you advice my readers to try?
My collections aren’t for the faint hearted woman, but one who is comfortable in her skin; her ensembles are but a foil to reflect her inner persona. Amato’s signature collections are seen as timeless modern classics that are collector’s items.
3. Do you advice brides to use colors for their wedding gown?
I think every bride is different. I personally prefer the wedding gowns in shades of white. They’re classic and timeless – but I also admire those who dare to challenge the norm. As you might have seen in my collections, I tend to create dramatic, opulent, whimsical and out-of-this world designs that catches people’s attention at first glance. At the end of the day, what matters most is that the bride is happy and confident in the most important day of her life!

Kisui’s designer, Kerstin Karges, draws her drafts from the inspirations. With these, the appropriate materials are chosen, cuttings created and prototypes sewn. During the whole design process the blueprints are constantly altered and improved, until a dream dress has been made. We wanted to see Kisui’s approach to our Q&A so today we bring you top bridal tricks straight from Germany.
1. What is your favourite bridal trend for 2016?
We definitely see a trend in two-pieces-wedding gowns. A combination between a pullover or a top combined with a skirt. Modern brides are looking for a relaxed and fun wedding day and these combinations meet this in perfection. Because these combinations are very comfortable to wear and have a distinct elegance.
2. What is your favourite piece from your collection that you advice my readers to try?
To stay in the trend mentioned. My favourite pieces are the edisa skirt worn with the nuria top. It is always worth to try something beside the mainstream to gain the biggest wow- effect and to have a gown that represent you as an individual person.
3. Do you advice brides to use colours for there wedding gown?
I do like the gowns to be more or less white/ivory but I do very much like colourful details like a big necklace or earrings, belts or shoes. But please do not use the exact same colour for your various coloured accessories because this is than going to look boring.

After five years of managing a production division for Esprit de Corp, Beverley Siri pursued her long-time goal of living in Italy and taking part in Milan’s fashion center as well as a desire to better know her cousins in northern Italy. She became acquainted with the Italian fashion industry while working for two manufacturing companies and ultimately working with a premiere fabric designer, Luisa Cevese, who specialized in very modern hand-woven fabrics.
These special fabrics along with her own sense of color and texture inspired Beverley to move back to her native San Francisco to start her own apparel company. We talked to Beverley Siri, Siri’s designer, and she was kind enough to share with you the answers to our Q&A.
1. What is your favorite bridal trend for 2016?
My favorite Bridal trend for 2016 is soft with subtle embellishment such as embroidery. It can instantly change the personality of the dress without being over the top.
2. What is your favorite piece from you collection that you advice my readers to try?
The Grotto Gown is a beautiful, whimsical piece that has an amazing train that feels as if you’re gliding on a bed of flower petals.
3. Do you advise brides to use colors for their wedding gown?I prefer all Off-white; nothing like a traditional look to last a lifetime.

is to try different styles and silhouettes and choose the one that suits their body type the most.

White, ivory, and beige are the most elegant colors for bridal gowns, but if a bride wants a little twist, she might go for light pink for a change though it’s preferable to stick to the traditional
colors.

1. What is your favorite bridal trend for 2016
Our 2016 collection featured a lot of lace. It is a trend that is here to stay! We have incorporated it both on bodices and skirts. One style, ‘Arabella’ features a t-shirt sleeved bodice, made from beaded French lace and it is proving to be very popular, as brides want to mix a modern shape with a classic fabric and design.
2. What is your favorite piece from you collection that you advice my readers to try?
My absolute favourite dress from the 2016 collection is Bryony. It is made from the most beautiful French lace. This porcelain ivory beauty just drapes effortlessly and with a matching full length silk lace veil we have the perfect combination3. Do you advice brides to use colors for their wedding gown?
At Lyn Ashworth we feel that a bride should get married in whatever colour she wants! Many of our dresses come in a range of colours, this seasons colours being tones of nude, blush and sea pearl along side the always popular ivory. Each designer has his special way of designing and that is what I love most about the bridal industry. Designing wedding gowns is an art form and Berta Bridal is the perfect example – elegant cuts, sexy silhouettes and an amazing sense of uniqueness. We talked to the team behind the brand and asked them our 2016 Q&A, curious to learn their secrets? Read along 🙂
1. What is your favorite bridal trend for 2016
My favorite trend is the use of extra elements that accompanies the dress – detachable trains, over skirts, boleros and capes. Adding one of those elements creates two completely different looks – one can be more modest/stylish and the other is usually more modern and sexy.
A good example for that you can see in the dress I designed for Miss USA – Olivia Jordan for the final of the Miss Universe competition (in which she won runner up). For Olivia I designed a sexy beaded lace dress with a matching dramatic cape. This created 2 different looks for Olivia, when most viewers actually thought she had two different dresses for the final stage.
2. What is your favorite piece from you collection that you advice my readers to tryThis is like asking which one of your kids you like most. Each and every dress in my collection is a creation I sketched, designed, crafted and played with for a long time before I reached the final outcome. They are all very dear to me, and in the same way.
So I can choose a favorite, but I can say that there is a dress that might mislead you, a design that once you put on yourself will give you a magical feel that you wouldn’t expect by watching it in the picture or on the hanger. I’m talking about BERTA model 16-07 (see above). It’s a magical combination of both modern/sexy and classy/vintage.
3. Do you advice brides to use colors for their wedding gown?Yes I would, but I would stick to blush tones, and won’t go beyond that. I like to use a lot of blush and Champaign tones in my designs, many times combined with ivory fabrics as well – this can create a very unique look, vintage-like, and still be seen as a wedding dress.

1. Your favorite bridal trend for 2016?
Boho Chic is the 2016 trend I love most and all gowns have been created inspired by the seventies and the Coachella Festival with its flowing lines, light fabrics and Boho details. It’s also a chic collection because I used noble fabrics such as silk chiffon, Georgette, tulle and french laces. I named it The Lightness because I was most inspired by the airy, fluffy lines of this trend.

I have to say I do not have a collection’s preferite piece because I really love every single model. I worked on it with passion and fine research,inspired by the brides requests and thinking about what are they’re looking for in a wedding gown; but I’d like to say to the future 2016 brides that a blouse on the gown instead of a shrug is the new fashion.The finesse of the blouse completes the bridal outfit and it can be taken off later and substituted, for example, by a decorated, jeweled belt. Two options for one gown. The silk chiffon and lace Chiara gown it is specifically created in this way. Also it has the nude back, which is one of the 2016 trend that will last all through the season.
3. Your top tips for brides?
My advice to the brides is to enter the bridal store with an open mind, because is easy to be surprised by gowns you didn’t think that could fit, by model or line. Let be counseled by the store staff which is expert and knows which gown fits and can make your silhouette look at its best.But in the end to understand if it’s the right dress just go with the feeling. Nobody than the bride knows when it the right one :).

Our 2016 Q&A series continues with the boho chic wonderland created by Sharon at Bo&Luca! Rewriting the rules of bridal design and not driven by either trends or tradition, these are the gowns that tell an epic story – the story of the wearer and her loves. I had the priviledge to have the creative director and founder of Bo&Luca answer our basic Q&A and now I’m able to share it with you guys. Do tell me what is your favorite gown from the Bo and Luca universe?
1. What is your favorite bridal trend for 2016
My favourite bridal trend is a non-trend. I am eternally attracted to the new, the different, the charismatic, something that catches the eye but never to trends. I always encourage our brides to be different and to dare to express their individuality through their gowns or through any piece they wear.
2. What is your favorite piece from you collection that you advice my readers to try
One of my absolute favourite pieces is our whimsical ISRA two piece wedding gown. Women are always pleasantly surprised when trying on this piece. Especially if they do not envision wearing a two piece gown. There is something about its simplicity that reflects nothing but understated elegance. It is a very figure flattering piece entirely hand beaded on the finest silk.
3. Do you advice brides to use colors for their wedding gown?
I advise brides to do what they please on their wedding day and to be themselves, regardless of what this may be.
