TheFashionBrides: Mikado Satin (II)
AdvertisementsMikado Satin is making a cool comeback after a few years in which the designers focused more on lace and tulle – this materiel is suited more for sober styles and therefor a bit less sexier than some of the brides would wish. However it remained always an absolute favorite off the Spanish designers. These 12 models are from Pronovias 2016 collection. I swan over the little peekaboo tulle and mikado gown, the way the tulle peaks between is just pure chic.

TheFashionBrides Q&A ep.5 : Lyn Ashworth
AdvertisementsBridal gowns aren’t simple dresses they are made of dreams and wishes that a future bride has, in their tulle and laces these gowns embody all that is good and elegant. And that’s why people like Sarah Barrett, head designer and creative director at made in England couture house, Lyn Ashworth, exist – to make all our dreams come true. In our today’s Q&A we head to England to find out what Lyn Ashworth has in store for us in 2016.
1. What is your favorite bridal trend for 2016
Our 2016 collection featured a lot of lace. It is a trend that is here to stay! We have incorporated it both on bodices and skirts. One style, ‘Arabella’ features a t-shirt sleeved bodice, made from beaded French lace and it is proving to be very popular, as brides want to mix a modern shape with a classic fabric and design.2. What is your favorite piece from you collection that you advice my readers to try?
My absolute favourite dress from the 2016 collection is Bryony. It is made from the most beautiful French lace. This porcelain ivory beauty just drapes effortlessly and with a matching full length silk lace veil we have the perfect combination3. Do you advice brides to use colors for their wedding gown?
At Lyn Ashworth we feel that a bride should get married in whatever colour she wants! Many of our dresses come in a range of colours, this seasons colours being tones of nude, blush and sea pearl along side the always popular ivory. We also offer a very popular bespoke service from our studio and recently made a stunning gown for a bride in pink and gold.Don’t forget to get in touch with them via social media
