After copious amounts of herbal valium, a dress rehearsal and some last-minute jitters over the ever-expanding budget, Lord Freddie Windsor and actress Sophie Winkleman married in a candlelit ceremony at Hampton Court yesterday.

After the ceremony, the emotional bride admitted: ‘I wept through the whole thing.’ She had swept into the grounds of Henry VIII’s favourite palace in a silver Rolls-Royce accompanied by her 70-year-old father Barry, clasping a bouquet of cream roses and waving to the crowds that lined the street.
