Alvina Valenta Autumn 2009 Bridal Collection

9955zm[1]

Alvina Valenta gowns are known for their timeless elegance, sophistication and most especially their attention to detail. All of the dresses are finished by hand, as well as the beading and their signature hand rolled roses. Every hem is finished with lace right down to the petticoat hem!

Alvina Valenta gowns are made of the finest silks, satin shantung, and satin organza to name a few.

One of the collection’s most successful silhouettes has been their full circular tulle skirt. Whether it is finished with a lace hem or without, with a beaded tank bodice, or a simple unadorned silk satin one, these dresses exude a festive, fun yet elegant feel.

Sarah Jessica Parker’s unique sense of quirky elegance touched our hearts through her lovable character, Carrie Bradshaw, on “Sex and the City.”But Sarah Jessica Parker, the fashion icon, was also made by her daring red carpet choices, from microminis to ballerina dresses.

In 2004, the actress was recognized by the exclusive Council of Fashion Designers of America who presented Sarah Jessica Parker with the “Style Icon” award.

Then, in 2005, Sarah Jessica Parker’s first perfume came out — it’s called Lovely and smells amazing — in a partnership with Coty, Inc.

Ana Torres 2010 Bridal and Evening Collection

The Cordoba designer Ana Torres has taken coral reefs and the vibrant colours they contain as the inspiration for the forthcoming 2010 spring-summer season, which give her designs the personal, characteristic touch that has been found in her collections for over 25 years.

The blue tones, which range from sky blue to the most impressive turquoises, transport us to warm Caribbean waters. She adds emerald green and salmon tones to these colours.

The lightness of silk muslin gives her designs an extraordinary diaphanous nature which manages to simulate the movement of waves. All this, together with the clever fall and her carefully studied volumes, makes the collection highly varied yet, at the same time, as uniform and symbiotic as the ecosystem in a coral reef.

Steal that style: Robinho and Vivian Guglielmetti Junit

robinho_33385_450x299px

Fans may sing a chorus of “We’ve got Robinho” whenever the soccer star enters a stadium, but on the evening of July 9, 2009 the Manchester City striker’s heart and soul belonged to his bride, Vivian Guglielmetti Junits. The couple’s 11-year love story– which produced son Robson Jr., named in honor of the athlete’s true name, Robson de Souza– led to their pronouncement as husband and wife in a ceremony held at the Hotel Casa Grande in Guaruja, São Paulo, Brazil, Globo reports.

The sight of the groom in his Armani suit and the bride in her multi-tiered, crystal-accented creation no doubt brought back happy memories of their 2005 I do’s to fellow soccer star Kaká and his wife Caroline Celico, just two of the many friends and family on hand to witness the wedding.

Alberta Feretti 2010 Bridal Collection

676_13676_11676_12

Ferretti is known for her designs featuring twisting, tucking, and draping techniques. Her style employs a subtle layered look, sometimes showing a hint of hand-beaded gauze which extends slightly beneath the hem of a wool dress. The erotic qualities of the chiffon and jersey (clothing) fashions she introduced for her spring 2008 fashion collection is evident in the look of her dresses.

Many of them are cut high in the front and draped low in the back. Her target customer is the cocktail crowd. Specifically the dresses are party frocks, above the knee, and enhanced by rhinestone rosettes and armour-like chain mail. Feretti’s collection includes pleated bubbled coats, toga-like minidresses and skirts, and a sparse number of gowns of soft mint green and white hues. The minidresses and skirts were shown with ethereal models wearing metallic gladiator flats. [via casando ideias]

Jorge Terra incorporates the key elements of the Brazilian designer’s unique style: daring nature and uneven cuts. An architect of design, Terra like to experiment with volume. However, his designs are never overly elaborate.

His cocktail and party creations feature a great use of color, something which has become a trademark of this talented designer.
