Celebrity Wedding: Bette Franke and Ilja Cornelisz
BETTE FRANKE had a good excuse for not being in New York this weekend for Fashion Week, the Dutch model was busy getting married. She posted a picture on her Instagram account showing her laughing as she posed with her flowergirls and her new husband, Ilja Cornelisz; a researcher in economics and education who is based in Amsterdam.
The couple married on Saturday, September 7 – the same day that they first met, and the date that her grandparents married – in their native Netherlands after a three-year engagement.
The service was attended by close friends and family – including fellow models Romée Fight, Kim Noorda and Sophie Vlaming – and the special day was captured by her fashion photographer friend Marc de Groot.
Celebrity Wedding: Eros Ramazzotti and Marica Pellegrinelli
Italian model Marica Pellegrinelli also got married to singer Eros Ramazzotti at the Royal Palace of Milan wearing a very unusual Valentino wedding gown. Marica got the sheet music for the couple’s love song embroidered on to the skirt. Now ain’t that just romantic! A perfect touch for an extra musical romance.
Royal Bride: Princess Madeleine of Sweden and Christopher O’Neill
Swedish Princess Madeleine fell in love in the Big Apple and she has said “yes” to New York banker Christopher O’Neill in a lavish wedding ceremony in Stockholm.
Madeleine was wearing a stunning white lace dress designed by Valentino Garavani when she tied the knot to British-American O’Neill on Saturday in front of around 470 European royals and top New York socialites.
O’Neill fought back tears as Madeleine walked down the aisle with her father, King Carl XVI Gustaf, to a traditional Swedish wedding march.
The couple met through mutual friends in New York, where they both live, and were first spotted together at the Central Park Boathouse in January 2011.
Celebrity Wedding: Heather Morris and Taylor Hubbell
The Glee star, better known as cheerleader Brittany, married her long-term love and the father of her child Taylor Hubbell in May. The couple exchanged vows in the Old Canyon Ranch in California – a beautiful outdoor space in Topanga Canyon, not far from the pair’s home in Los Angeles.
Heather, 28, and her new husband Taylor encouraged their friends and family to share photos from their special day online, with some captioning the pictures “#thehappyhubbell”.

Another royal wedding beckons in Europe: This time it is Sweden’s Princess Madeleine who is now a mother of two and married to Christopher O’Neill (remember her amazing wedding? ). Madeleine is the youngest of King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia’s three children and by far the most fashionable princess of Europe.

Celebrity Wedding: Peter Andre and Emily MacDonagh
After going back and forth with their wedding date, Peter Andre and Emily MacDonagh officially tied the knot at Mamhead House in Exeter on Saturday 11 July. The couple, who are parents to young daughter Amelia, said “I do” in front of their nearest and dearest, with Peter’s children from his previous marriage Princess and Junior playing starring roles. The leafy grounds of the Georgian estate, which is surrounded by 164 sprawling acres of land, provided the perfect backdrop for Peter and Emily’s wedding photos.
Celebrity Wedding: Tina Knowles and Richard Lawson
In April Beyoncé Knowles’ mum Tina and her long-term partner Richard Lawson married in an all-white wedding. The couple and their 300 guests, who all wore white, celebrated the union aboard a luxury yacht moored outside of Newport Beach.
Beyoncé shared a picture on her website of the newlyweds toasting to their marriage with a glass of champagne. Tina, 61, wore a slinky white Romona Kevez design while her groom matched her in an all-white suit, white bow tie and white boat shoes. Beyoncé, her husband Jay Z and their daughter Blue Ivy were among the invitees, as was the singer’s younger sister Solange.
Celebrity Wedding: Declan Donnelly and Ali Astall
The wedding of Declan Donnelly and Ali Astall was an “amazing, magical, wonderful day”, the groom told well-wishers on Twitter. The much-loved Geordie presenter married his girlfriend of three years in his home town Newcastle on Saturday 1 August in front of family and friends, including a whole host of famous faces.
The bride and groom, who have known each other for ten years, got engaged in November last year and the wedding lived up to expectations.

She pulled out all the stops with a showstopper wedding gown with 10-foot train. And Jenni ‘JWoww’ Farley revealed on Saturday that she also recruited an epic TWENTY bridesmaids for her big day – including one guy.
The pregnant Jersey Shore star married Roger Matthews last weekend and shared the first photo of her bridesmaids snaking up a sweeping staircase, which she captioned: ‘My bridesmaids.’

Since her wedding to Prince Carl Philip, Princess Sofia has been in the spotlight and she didn’t disappoint. She is elegant and classy yet still maintains that youthful look she had prior to her marriage. Even do she has been pregnant almost all the period she has been a princess we can’t complain – we had amazing looks and I am sure she will step up a notch after the baby arrives.
