Celebrity Wedding
Royal Bride: Prince Laurent of Belgium & Claire Coombs
Although details of the bridal gown have been kept top secret, royal watchers believe the dress will be created by Edouard Vermeulen. The prestigious designer was responsible for the wedding dresses of both Princess Mathilde and Princess Laurentien, the wife of Prince Constantine of the Netherlands. It has been confirmed that Claire will wear a vintage veil of Brussels lace which was worn by three generations of royal brides, beginning with Queen Paola’s grandmother Laura Mosselman du Chenoy in 1877. The veil will be paired with an antique tiara, a gift from the king and queen.

Royal coronation: King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands (guests)
King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands has begun his reign by paying tribute to his mother Princess Beatrix who abdicated in his favour after 33 years as Queen. With her easy charm and ready smile, Princess Maxima was quick to win over the Dutch people, immersing herself in the language and culture of her adopted country and even swimming in an Amsterdam canal for charity.
The future queen was also instrumental in transforming the reputation of her husband, whose younger years as a boozing university student had led to doubts over his suitability as head of the House of Orange.
