Top 3 clutches of the week ep. 21

Claire silver-tone (3)

Fashion is not only about brands and trends, it’s about revealing that side of your personality that no one knew about. that’s why my advice is to choose a statement clutch for your wedding day, yes it might not be to everyone’s liking but you’ll sure make a mark.

My faves for this week are Claire silver-tone brass and crystal clutch ( an encrusted multicolored crystals Jimmy Choo clutch) , The Skull embellished leather box clutch (none others that Alexander McQueen’s) and Metallic brushed-leather box clutch ( a Diane von Furstenberg’s gold and black brushed-leather box clutch). hope you like them

Alexander Mcqueen 2010 Couture Fall [last] Collection

Alexander McQueen’s last works were given final honors by his trusted team in a hushed and dignified showing that went to his core as a designer who scaled the heights of couture accomplishment. Sarah Burton, his right hand, described how, in beginning this collection, McQueen had turned away from the world of the Internet, which he had so powerfully harnessed in his last show.

“He wanted to get back to the handcraft he loved, and the things that are being lost in the making of fashion,” she said. “He was looking at the art of the Dark Ages, but finding light and beauty in it. He was coming in every day, draping and cutting pieces on the stand.”

The 16 outfits shown had been 80 percent finished at the time of his death. [via style.com] So very, very sad :(.

Alexander McQueen Tribute

‘Every single inspired, original, lofty, whimsical, stunning, brilliant and jaw dropping detail was Alexander Mcqueen. There has never been anyone like him. And there simply never will be. ‘What is more devastating is that despite all his success thus far, creatively, critically and commercially, his greatest achievements lay ahead of him. The future would be whatever he hoped to make of it,” said Sarah Jessica Parker quoted by Daily Mail.

I can not find word to describe the loss we have suffered, how many wonderful gowns we’ll miss and how many happiness they would have bought to us. With mister McQueen goes a fabulous world that we all keep in our dreams but just don’t find ways to let it out.

I know that our worlds will be a bit more colourless after he left. But I know that God has got one new tailor! Rest in peace Lee McQueen. (and tell Coco and Yves we love them and miss them). 😥 [images via google image search]
