Be the Belle of your Ball with David’s Bridal

    February 15, 2012 /

Strong colors, bold prints, unusual shapes – here you have just few of the amazing gown trends you can opt for this Spring. I must admit I’m pretty much excited for all those lovely parties we will all be invited, either we are talking about proms, wedding or even anniversary parties. They are all great occasions to make a bold statement and prove that our style is one step above the trend.

That’s why my first thought for the spring summer party or prom dresses was David’s Bridal. For the past years they spoiled us with amazing designs and incredible materials at affordable prices. And I’m glad to say that this years collection is nothing less than impressive.

I’m especially drawn by their great colors and their amazing range that goes from strapless ball gowns to one shoulder outfits or silk empire gown. It’s such a great thing to find all these styles in a single collection – it will sure save you time and money.

My personal favorite is this amazing strapless layered tulle ball gown in tones of fucsia and orange. I know it’s not your usual favorite combination but it sure works and looks incredible. That’s exactly why I like David’s Bridal so much, sometimes I tend to love exactly the opposite of what I expected because their gowns are made with such attention and care. And that says a lot about their procedures and quality of work.

We’ve talked in the past about David’s Bridal and the amazing wedding gowns and bridesmaids dresses one can find there. But I’ve been asked recently why should one opt for a retailer such as David’s Bridal, so I decided it would be better to make a post and tell you why I think you should opt for a high end retailer rather than a smaller one.

Here are few of the reasons:

    1. Variety

Fortunately at David’s Bridal you will be able to try on several types of gowns that come in your size and help you evaluate what style of wedding gown flatters your silhouette. Most of the usual retailers will have in stock just a couple of dresses and you won’t be able to try on your favorites. Make sure your retailer offers you a large spectrum of colors, shapes and sizes before you decide.

    2. Prices

You have to admit at the end of the day the gown’s price is an important part of the final decision. So where can you find amazing Vera Wang gowns at an unimaginable small price? Yup, you’ve guessed it! Even more your consultant will help you find a great wedding gown that will fit your budget and even indicate what gowns are on sale or come from a previous collection.

    3. Similarity

I’m 100% sure you want a wedding with a precise color scheme and you want bridesmaids dresses that perfectly fit into your wedding. So why not choose a retailer that can offer not only your wedding gown but also the dresses for your bridesmaids. You’ll spare time and you’ll be sure you made the right decision.

I usually advise a future bride to opt for known retailers that have a great feedback from their clients and David’s Bridal sure has that. I’m sure that every bride will be more that satisfied and that’s why I advise you to visit their website and make sure to make an appointment in 2012.

Tiaras offer a fantastic accent to any wedding dress and can give your bridal look a completely different twist (take note from Kate Middleton and her Cartier tiara worn at her wedding to prince William).
These amazing hairpieces are usually decorated with pearls or crystals, and compliment both hairups as well as shorter hairstyles. David’s Bridal offers a great line of tiaras perfect for your wedding.

Hot stuff: knee length wedding gowns

    October 29, 2010 /

Let’s admit it, not everyone has a body that can get away with wearing mermaid type bridal gowns or princess ball gowns. That’s the main reason why more and more brides choose a knee length wedding gown that flatters their figure and brightens their ceremony.

Inspired by the 1950’s fashion the knee length gown is making a powerful comeback into today’s bridal trends. I must admit I’m a huge fan of vintage clothes and I would gladly wear one of the bridal gowns that stands out and would flatter my figure.

David’s Bridal knee length gowns are perfect for the occasion; their new Galina collection features a couple of fabulous designs that would fit perfectly in a vintage inspired wedding or even a beach ceremony.

And for the brides that still want to wear clasic bridal gowns they can always pick a long, A line gown for the ceremony and latter in the evening switch it with a knee length gown. For a drop of vintage glamour don’t forget to add a cagebird veil and the trademark red lipstick. Have fun!
