    Coren Moore Debuts Pop-Up Showroom in Rowayton, CT

    January 3, 2010 /

    Coren Moore Inc., the well known New York-based Bridal and Bridesmaid designer, is kicking off the New Year with the opening of her Rowayton, CT showroom on Saturday, January 9th. Coren’s primary showroom is located in Manhattan but her designs are featured in nearly 60 retailers throughout the country. Coren’s design sensibility is most notably elegant and classic yet all of her creations incorporate elements of modernity and individuality.

    The temporary showroom will be located in a retail space previously occupied by the Lobster Co-op store and behind the Rowayton Avenue restaurant, River Cat Grill. This opening represents an important step forward in the Coren Moore, Inc. growth plan. The designer is currently in the process of negotiating for a spot with greater square footage and in a premium Rowayton, retail location.

    Rowayton is a picturesque Connecticut coastal town which is conveniently located off of I-95. It is home to a number of highly acclaimed restaurants and various specialty shops, making this pop-up boutique an ideal bridal destination.

    Shortly following Coren’s 2003 wedding, The Coren Moore bridesmaid line was launched with the Collection and Signature bridal lines following in 2008. The success of Coren Moore’s bridal fashions in the New England area will make the Rowayton showroom an exciting venture, and it will be the only bridal boutique in the immediate area. Known for her exquisite design capabilities, superior craftsmanship, brilliant array of colors, and truly wearable dresses, Coren Moore is sought after for both formal and casual events.

    Because the designer herself is now a Darien resident, her presence at the Connecticut location will ensure the integrity of the boutique, and a highly personal shopping experience for its patrons.

Certainly there remain designers and dressmakers that offer individual client service, but as an international business, Anna Maier ~ Ulla-Maija may now stand alone.

             

    Couture make and approach to servicing the client is at Anna Maier ~ Ulla-Maija’s foundation. It simply can not, nor could it choose to, do anything else. Anna Maier ~ Ulla-Maija will always make to the measurements of its clients and marry its design sensibility to them.

    Wedding inspiration: Venice

    Venice is one of the most important tourist destinations in the world, due to the city being one of the world’s greatest and most beautiful cities of art. The city has an average of 50,000 tourists a day. In the 1980s the Carnival of Venice was revived and the city has become a major centre of international conferences and festivals, such as the prestigious Venice Biennale and the Venice Film Festival, which attract visitors from all over the world for their theatrical, cultural, cinematic, artistic and musical productions.

    Hot stuff: Shana Faust

    Shana Faust started her career as a photo-stylist in Toronto, styling for various print publications and film productions. In 2003, she moved to New York City, where she became an editor at Martha Stewart Weddings magazine. There, Shana spent five years creating and styling editorial features on everything from fashion and beauty to crafts and décor, and was made Deputy Style Editor in 2007.

    She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts, a Master’s Degree in Art History, and an Associate’s Degree in Fashion Merchandising and Product Development from F.I.T. In addition to styling for numerous magazines and websites, she is currently working on her first book, to be published by Chronicle Books in Fall 2010. Shana lives in Brooklyn with her husband and sweet little daughter, Sophie Bea.
