Yaniv Persy was born in Israel in 1978. The Israeli-born, South America-raised, moves to Paris in 2007. The classic Parisian elegance and masterful drape of local fashion designers influenced him. Persy went on to collaborate with John Galliano. He worked under Steven Robinson & Elisa Palomino ,John Galliano’s right hand at the time. Just a while after ending the collaboration he took position as creative director for Apostrophe (Paris’ designing of prêt-à-porter exclusive line).

Le Spose di Gio was established in 1975 and is run by Giovanna and Marisa De Capitani. The company has ateliers in Bologna, Bergamo, Monza and Varese and, in 2004, also launched their range in the UK. Their bridal gowns are modern yet have a light, dreamy look, incorporating soft details such as drapery alongside contemporary design.
