Celebrity Wedding: Amber Ridinger and Duane Mclaughlin
It was a big night for JR and Loren Ridinger. Daughter Amber married Duane McLaughlin in a no-expense-spared $5 million wedding. The young lovers made it legal at Ritz Carlton’s Reserve in Puerto Rico. The bride wore a dress by J’Aton Couture, custom powder blue bottom Louboutins and jewelry by Jacob & Co. The groom honored his grandfather, who was the first African American Navy Seal by wearing his naval uniform. Preston Bailey created a chapel erected completely of pink flowers for a fairy tale feel.

How’s this for a happy ending? Exactly a year to the day after Alberta Ferretti offered to design Candice Lake’s wedding dress, the model and photographer tied the knot with conceptual architect and fellow Aussie Didier Ryan in Sydney. “I was in Milan modeling for the Limited Edition demi-couture show,” Lake explains. “I was one of the first girls there, so following my fitting, I walked into this amazing archive space to pick a dress for the evening. I asked if I could try one on, and minutes later, Ferretti said she’d love to make my wedding dress. I just started crying!” The dress Lake picked that night—a sparkling, gold whisper—ended up being the same one she changed into, post-ceremony, for champagne and dancing.
