Top 3 clutches of the week ep. 19

    December 4, 2012 /

    Crystal-embellished (1)

Elegant wedding outfits need a sharp dose of glamour so be sure to add that with a bold and elegant clutch that will make you stand out either you are the bride or just a guest. My top choices for this week are: the fabulous Diane von Furstenberg’s Tonda crystal-embellished leather clutch, Lanvin’s crystal-embellished satin-covered metal frame clutch and Anya Hindmarch’s Marano glitter-finished box clutch.

These three pieces are perfect in any fashionista’s closet and they will sure serve their purpose not only for this occasion. I always tell my brides to use as much as they can from their bridal attire, and a great clutch is up there. Opt for a classy clutch that you will be able to wear after your wedding and that will be a constant reminder of your happiest day.

    1. Pierre Hardy proves that flats aren’t just for day with this sleek patent-leather pair. Trimmed with black grosgrain, these white pointed shoes will add polish to a tank and skinny jeans off duty – simply add a clean-cut blazer come cocktail hour.

    2. Two-tone accessories are hot news this season, so make an impact in Pierre Hardy’s dark-blue and cyan pumps. Wear this elegant pair to add punch to classic tailoring or a fail-safe LBD at cocktail hour.

    3. Reflecting fashion’s obsession with all things pastel this season, Lanvin updates the label’s iconic ballet flats in a pretty palette of metallic antique-rose.

    1. Light up every room in Marc by Marc Jacobs’ cult favorite mouse ballet flats. Covered in dazzling gold sequins, this cute leather style will add a playful punch to any elegant evening ensemble.

    2. Step elegantly into the new season in Chloé’s metallic textured-leather ballet flats. This square-toed pair will make a chic alternative to heels – just add a white shirt and cropped pants for a perfectly Parisian take on the label’s insouciant aesthetic.

    3. Lanvin’s leather ballet flats are a firm fashion favorite – give your footwear collection a new-season update with this matte-gold pair.

    Lanvin 2012 Collection Blanche

    May 3, 2011 /

Paris, Summer 1911, Jeanne Lanvin created the first wedding gown for her parisian house of couture. One hundred years have passed and yet the house of Lanvin has continued to create for several seasons the Blanche collection. Alber Elbaz’ spirited bride reveals grace and elegance, for Summer 2011.
Delighted by the feel of a satin ribbon, the sensuality of delicately draped satin crepe, or the impeccable finish of a pleated skirt edged with tulle and lace, her bridal laugh celebrates the happiest day of her life. From this immaculate wardrobe, she can choose between the discreet elegance of a coat-dress in washed silk faille, a top in washed canvas and ecru organza, embroidered with crystals, worn with a washed canvas skirt edged with white feathers.

The more daring bride will opt for a ravishing dress in mastic radzimir, a more flamboyant greige silk tulle dress, or a candidly long silk satin dress with a pompom finish and picture neckline. The modern tone of a washed techno linen dress entirely embroidered with crystals and silk gazar tempers the romance of a long dress in washed duchess satin.

An audacious ecru smoking suit displays flower-embroidered lapels, while a jacket in washed linen canvas partner a washed crepe voile blouse and a long skirt in ecru silk taffeta. The finishing touch of this capsule collection is an adorable ecru tulle veil embroidered with pompoms.

Whether she seeks a modern or traditional wedding, every bride will be eager to accept this proposal from Lanvin, just in time for a royal ceremony…

Lanvin announces the launch of its children’s range

    May 2, 2011 /

Lanvin is pleased to announce the creation of its children’s range: a luxury collection of 25 products for little girls aged between four and ten, in line with the tradition of the brand.
“She sewed to dazzle her daughter, and in so doing she dazzled the world.” It was in these terms that Louise de Vilmorin described Jeanne Lanvin’s love for her daughter Marguerite. Children’s Clothing became Lanvin’s first department, in 1908. The enchanted mothers who bought these outfits soon demanded similar clothes for themselves, leading to the launch of departments for Young Ladies and Women.
The passing of time has in no way lessened the emotion that lies at the heart of Lanvin’s expertise. The first sketches of Alber Elbaz reveal dresses, jumpers, coats, T-shirts and accessories in the finest fabrics.
This charming Lanvin collection will be presented in a June show and available from Lanvin boutiques and outlets as of end November, for the Summer 2012 season.
