    Franc Sarabia 2010 Bridal Collection

    November 16, 2009 /

Franc Sarabia presents notes of romantic inspiration for a bride looking for airs of sophistication and elegance without going over the top. Colours impregnated with gentleness and sensuality in white tones and light textures.

We can allow ourselves to be captivated by an atmosphere of flowers; with the fragrances, the energy of jasmine, the opulence of tuberoses, the serene majesty of roses, the nerve of mimosa, nostalgic violets, fresh lily of the valley, passionate carnations and the Andalusian sweetness of orange blossom.

    Steal that style: Emily Blunt

    November 15, 2009 /

Emily Olivia Leah Blunt is an English actress known for her work in the films My Summer of Love and The Devil Wears Prada. She won the 2007 Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Miniseries or Television Film for the BBC TV film Gideon’s Daughter and was nominated for the same award in the movie category for The Devil Wears Prada. Blunt costarred in independent film Sunshine Cleaning (2008)  [via wiki].

But the Britannia British Artist of the Year designee’s recent role as the royal title character in “The Young Victoria” doesn’t have an ounce of snootiness. “What I found fascinating was the world she lived in,” Blunt says. “She was constantly under duress. She was living a life under the glare of the public. I wanted to do her justice, and show the passion and love in her life — show the other side of her life.”

Filmgoers accustomed to seeing the dour, black-clad queen will find Blunt offering them an emotional, passionate young woman underneath the imperial public face. I shall post more about her role in The Young Victoria in the upcoming week.

Carlo Pignatelli Bridal Couture Collection 2010

    November 14, 2009 /

Pignatelli is the rebel who showed the fashion world that bridegrooms are just as important to be looked at as the bride. He showed us that men could wear Haut Couture and thus holds a reputed reputation for men’s formal wear. He gives us constantly unprecedented colours and styles in some of the most ceremonial moments in our lives.

With enormous success in Italy (whereby a quarter of all men receive their tuxedos from his fashion line), Germany, and the rest of Europe, Carlo Pignatelli has been able to expand his impeccable eye for precision to men, women, and children with ceremonial, classic, outside, prêt-a-porter, underwear, shoe, and accessory lines. He recently decided to expand his sphere of fans to the United States—providing magnificent shoes in New York and Los Angeles.

The new line has new colours, new silhouettes, and patterns that make even the most jaded fashion critic look twice. Nevertheless, the collection remains signature Carlo Pignatelli: well designed, perfectly fitted, impeccably tailored, and richly dyed.

    Cymbeline 2010 Bridal Collection

Who is better to understand the dreams of another woman than a woman herself? The success of CYMBELINE is down to the hard work of the three sisters who decided to revolutionize the bridal industry.

Their design studio is like a research laboratory, with thousands of swatches of the best fabrics from France as well as exclusive fabrics from all around the world- Calais lace, Organza jacquards, embroideries or taffetas and Thai silk. Mixing the traditional with modern, the sisters knew how to adapt the traditional methods of “haute couture” into modern designs: new techniques using the latest fabrics allowed for the corset designs to be comfortable and supportive, the computerized pattern cutting systems allowed them to obtain lines cut to within a millimetre.
