Wedding Planning – Schedule some relaxation time

Arranging your wedding can be an extremely stressful time of year for a bride as there are so many things to consider in the run up to the big day.

With save the date cards, invitations, dresses, fittings, seating plans and many more things running through your mind there is a lot to remember. Then add in finding the right cake, your dream dress and not blowing your budget- you’re likely to get a bit stressed.

Here are some hints and tips on how to try and relax a little before your big day without spending money that could go towards some fabulous designer shoes for under your dress!

Spa Time

With all the decisions that need to be made regarding the wedding, taking a little break is probably a good idea. A spa day with a bridesmaid could be an ideal opportunity to take some time away and relax.

This does not have to a huge expense as many spas offer discount days and restaurant vouchers are also available so it is worth checking what is out there prior to ordering leaving more money for the duty free when you jet off on your honeymoon.

For those just starting the process, especially those considering a themed wedding, take a look at this fabulous book, “The ‘W’ Day,” by designer and wedding planner Guilia Macchia. It’s filled not only with lots of good advice, but also beautiful pictures. And she offers practical designer tips for each kind of setting and location.
And I couldn’t agree more on penciling in some downtime — my friend’s daughter is planning her daughter’s wedding — and that has proved to be a big plus for the process!
